Try out these two perspective drawing tricks to improve your accuracy. The 'X' and 'X-ray' techniques are great for getting the alignment, symmetry, and proportions right when constructing a drawing.

This one was pretty fun I thought it came out not too bad but some of my lines do curve a bit and the x-ray vision worked pretty well same with the x trick

Drew a pig but I can see the proportions are a little off. But the X trick is pretty useful, will definitely use it more in the future.

The camel looks tilted... 🤔 (And yes, the vanishing points are too close.) Also, with the legs i had no idea how to determine the sizes of each side. Probably need more space to draw the leg boxes properly. And the human has a different kinds of arms. Well, as everything this needs a lot more practice!

My quick little attempt. It made me realise how much my initial gut feeling would be wrong. I need to use these techniques even more (at least to double check myself).

I am having a lot of trouble with this and its preventing me from completing the vehicle exercise. My main question is how do you find the midpoint to complete the X? It works on the side with less distortion but when i try to find the other arm, the vertical line comes out slanted, even though I've connected through the midpoints on each side. I cant figure out what i'm measuring wrong

Heh my use of the x-trick on a minecraft character. Enjoyed more than I thought I would. Used a ruler to double check my angles whenever things started looking weird.

I thought I'd draw some robots. The one on the left was my first attempt and the one on the right was a redo. Full disclosure: I used a ruler on the second one as I drew it during my lunch breaks on an A5 sketch book. Not much room on the page and the divisions got very small.

Minecraft chicken practice! Perhaps I made the perspective converge too suddenly, his wings box seem off.
A lot of my confusion was that the head is turned and seemed to be a differing vanishing point. Any help/tips on fixing the wings/body?

For some reason I was unaware of minecraft. This partly explains why I made the first /big one so square, I could've done better research though. Anyway, I found out there was a minecraft piggy. Loved it! Also attached my warm ups.
Is something off about the angels? Seeing the big and small one side to side, I feel something might be a bit wonky. If you spot something, feel free to let me know!

Great exercise to explain the X and the Xray. And to kill the illusion of the arms being the exact lenght of the t-shirt, I just lowered the tshirt line... Amazing indeed to see the effect of being closer to a vanashing point. Did this on a paper, no digital... I am had to do this fast and did it traditional, not much attention for beautiful lines here...
