My second attempt at drawing a tank. I think it turned out much better than the first.
The most important thing I've learnt from the demo is that it's okay if the ellipse does not actually conform exactly to the points I've constructed in the box, as long as the angle of the ellipses are consistent with one another.

I took some time to do these exercises, I made the drawings several times and this is the best I could do so far. The biggest difficulty I found using construction lines is that mistakes tends to accumulate, so it requires a lot of precision especially in converging correctly the lines towards the vanishing points. Anyway it was very useful to review all the things done so far.

Admitting that while proko talks in the demo and I am trying to draw, I am not paying enough attention. I get the principle but my do I find it hard. That these ellipses change so much... depending on their perspective. I shall need to practice way more cilinders and ellipes... not sure I want to do more tanks. In 2 point I kind of make it work, but the 3 point adds just another layer of complication... but now I hope to get a few more insights from the critiques...

I have working for over 2 weeks on wheels. These 6 drawings are the best I could do.

My antipathy for tanks is slightly smaller now. I find doing equal looking ellipses in one row as extra hard.

Lots of useful stuff in this demo. One of the best was at 18:45 "the widest point is not necessarily the edge of the ellipse. You may see a small curve beyond the longest point."
The major axis is getting more natural which is making my ellipses look more consistent within the same drawing. I used two point perspective which makes it a bit easier.
It is very encouraging to be part of this hard working group. Keep it up!

It's really reassuring to see Stan bolden some line in order to make it look more "correct". I thought that I really shouldn't be doing it as I'm not trying to "sculpt" an image but seeing as I'm not the only one and especially an artist with a lot of experience also draws and struggles with some of these topics does give me some much needed confidence.
I've been doing some more ellipse only exercises, looking forward to the next lesson.

Tanks for the Tank Demo
It's great to observe the intuitive drawing. again.
Nice Tank too.
