In this level 2 demo, I'm going to show you how I draw an arcade room using 1-point perspective. I'll still use some guides from the level 1 demo, but less of them to slowly take off the training wheels.

My rendition of the arcade machines. In this case, I think I kind of just drew whatever shape that looked fun, and the resulting machines don't really look too much like arcade machines. But it was still nice to draw something different from plain boxes.

Ive been on an extended break from these lessons. But trying to dive back in with a new appreciation for the learning process. Still such a beginner. But ive taken two other art classes at the art institute in Indianapolis, and wow are you such a better teacher. Ive learned so much from this online course already and I'm really hoping to soak up more! Thanks for putting this site and these lessons together! Its changed my life, seriously.

It's hobbit perspective.

Perspective has always been confusing to me, so I never drew things with it. After watching this demo, I tried again. Although the lines are still messy, I was finally able to complete level 2. Last time, I didn’t finish it because I was stopped by the chaos caused by the lines.

Level 1. Always using ruler. I need to follow Stan's advise about drawing straight lines.

I did both level l assignments and thought I would give a try at level 2.

Do you have a trick equivalent to that x-method but to divide something to an odd number of equal sized pieces? If you for example want to devide a space to 3? Ive tried to figure out that my self several times and just end up winging it because i don’t have any tool for it.

Not aware of any equivalent construction method. Usually eye balling with one or two attempts does the job

What is different vanish point from eye level(view point)?
Juice

The horizon is in the eye or camera level. So in 1 point and 2 point perspective the vanishing points is in the horizon and there for eye/camera level.
@drawingdodo
Not sure if I understood your question. Vanishing points and eye levels are different concepts: - Vanishing point: the point in the horizon to which all lines converge to. There can be multiple vanishing points, but they will be explained later; - Eye level: simulates a point of view of a regular person, looking straight ahead. A good way to distinguish the two is to imagine a drawing from the perspective of a dog. The horizon line is going to be low on the page, and the drawing won't be at eye level. So even though there is a vanishing point, the drawing isn't at an eye level. Is that clearer, or did I misunderstand entirely the question? :D
