My assignment for Loomis, Bridgman and Bodem. There is always something to correct, but I just had to get it over with.
Andrew Joseph Keith
Hey I like seeing them in their own colors! really fun. For a block in these look good but make sure that they are symmetrical from side to side and that they have a clear front plane to add the features on top of. Keep up the sculpting! I hope to see more of your work soon!

I finally made a model of a hand. I used plastelina which is sticky and it attaches to other parts of the same material. I need to use another material the next time.
John Tollefsen
Another try. I have used blue plastelina because it's less sticky than the grey one. I have also decreased the size of the wrist bones.

Hey nice job! Great photo reference to work from! You might want to take the sculpture and hold it up to the reference on a screen just to double check the proportions and silhouette (for example the shape of the nose might be slightly different in the photo reference) Keep up the good work and I hope to see more!

My first tries at pancake heads. I will try to improve them in some time.

Composites of cylinder, sphere, cone and sphere.

This is a really cool study page. I like how you combined the different forms together. Try softening the form shadows around the curved surfaces. This will help the drawing feel less flat.

How to make the armature for the forearm?
Andrew Joseph Keith
I just twisted the wires at the bottom together for the radius and then added an additional section of wire for the ulna. The demo will show more of the process.

Mitten studies.
Andrew Joseph Keith
Hey nicely done! the hands & wrist might be a little wide, the proportions remind more more of the hands of infants or small children which are wider at the wrist and fingers and more blocky. Doing great though so keep up the sculpting and I look forward to seeing more! I definitely get a sense of the pose and gesture so that's the main thing.

Hi Andrew, here are some mitten studies.

I took the photos from Instagram and I don't know if they are copyrighted. Anyway, it was a very good exercise, but I found it quite difficult to see some of the shapes by just looking at photos.
