Day 6 - Anatomy - 12 Days of Proko Today I encourage you to do anatomy studies! Understanding the human machine helps us draw from reference, memory and invent from imagination. Some artists who have a lot of experience with anatomy can do quick studies at about 10 minutes per pose, but if you don't have several years of anatomy sketching under your belt, then it's better to allow more time (30+ minutes) to analyze deeper and gain a better understanding of what you're looking at. Beyond accuracy, go heavy on the structural skeletal scaffolding and design dynamic muscle shapes on top. Focus on the intricate relationships between body parts and how they change shape with movement.
