sooo many amazing selfportraits here!!!! Chapeau!!
Self portrait on 24x30 inch canvas. Medium : Acrylic color It is a stylized portrait, sadly i don't have horns for real😅😅
Only had a day to work on this but hope it looks ok. Wish I could've done traditional but found about it late so I did traditional style digitally with one layer and traditional brushes only plus smudge. I was trying to make a funny face hehe.
This Is my first self potrait and digital drawing. Made on Photoshop with oil brushes.
Love the light and shadow separation - strong value structure and nice strokes. Good job!
My self-portrait using oil pastels. I never was a fan of myself for an art study and it's still hard to fully capture the idea of who I am and what I see. Still, it's good practice. and I love a challenge!
Here's my entry:
"Calming The Chaos In My Mind"
I used oil color with pallet knife for the color, and titus ballpen for the details.
This was an awesome challenge!
The melting roses decorating the mirror represent my passionate but withering ambitions, while my skeleton reflection pressures me to realize these dreams before it's too late!
This is my first self portrait since high school - and it was quite the challenge! Any other portrait artists find it extremely difficult to draw/ paint themselves?
11" x 14" Acrylic on Wood Panel
Thanks for the challenge!!
Yeah I struggled to paint myself - really struggled to see planes in my own face. It was quite an epiphany to see how flat and oily my face is - I'm like the greasy faced teenager from The Simpsons.
Your acrylic painting is really smooth! The way you rendered the skin is really good! I struggle to get smooth blends like that out of acrylics.
My first Proko challenge and i feel that it made me improve a lot in my art and self esteem lol.
