Day 3 - Hands - 12 Days of Proko
1yr
Hands down, the second most expressive part of the body after the face, is the hands! They hold a remarkable range of emotions and gestures. Challenge yourself with 5-20 minute poses using our timer tool to practice the gesture, structure, or anatomy of the provided hand photos.
If you need a hand ;) with this challenge, I have a whole series of video lessons (several are free) about drawing hands in my anatomy course. Here’s the first lesson, and the others are in the playlist on this same page:

Asked for help
10 mins timer for each.
I had a lot of trouble with the one I'm pointing at (top left was 4th attempt). Not sure what's the main issue, I think the length/perspective of the palm facing up?? Did I overly shorten it?
Day #3: Hands ~ This is the second round I’m doing on Day#3 as I wanted to practice more hands. 15 and 10 mins.
5 min hands, i tried to use crosshatching for the shadows but i had too little time
20 min hands, been a while since I’ve done any hands. It’s always a fun challenge balancing structure and gesture.
Hello! Loving these daily challenges and the timer. I'll try to stick to them as much as possible. Started over with the hands, alllocating 20 min for each of the poses.
10 minutes poses and 20 minutes poses i like the drawings, but does someone have an advise for taking better pictures they aren't very good.
First one in charcoal on news print (not so good), second one concentrated more on getting the shapes better.
Decided to switch to ballpoint pens today. 10 min sketches. Should probably work on my perspective first before even thinking of studying hands lol! I almost gave up on the second one (in the middle).
