Just for fun; me vs hubby. 1 Minute Mermaids. I spent most of my minute trying to figure out the weird brush I accidentally chose, hubby went in hard with the details. Digital is an entirely new experience lol but I hope I can make sense of it all eventually. What brushes can people recommend for gesture drawing in procreate?

Got over the time limit, couldn't resist the temptation to play with the design more..

Made two drawings, catching up on what I missed.  Left the miniatures of gesture and the blocking sketches.

15 minute mermaids. This was super hard! I really need to brush up on blocking down anatomy on top of gesture.

I loved this challenge. I tried to paint them as if they are made out of water, only here and there getting into focus. It took me around 30 minutes to paint and draw one mermaid, not counting the drying time of the watercolour.

Hmm, definitely need to work on humans first :) At least you can tell it is a mermaid as opposed to say, a giraffe or a lamp. Maybe it would help if I named her. ?Tracy Yes, Tracy.
