Today we’re swinging into the action-packed world of Comic Poses! Comics are known for powerful, dynamic poses that tell a story. Focus on creating sketches that showcase movement, emotion, and energy. Use our timer tool to warm up with some 2-minute poses and then jump into longer 10-minute poses to exaggerate or change parts of the pose or body type if you feel it will make the story better. Think about the hero or villain that would take that pose as you draw these. Share your sketches and see how others in the community brought their characters to life! INSTRUCTIONS: Go to https://proko.com/timer, select the Day 12 reference pack, choose the quantity and duration in the right sidebar, and start the session! When you’re done, share your comic pages here in this thread for a chance to win some prizes. Here are my latest results from last 2 night’s Day 12 of 12 Days of Proko. Done from 57 seconds to 1 minute per pose. So, what do you think, @Stan Prokopenko and @Marco Bucci ? @Polyvios Christoforos

The 2 minute sketches sure push me to be brisk and faster, to start to make strokes without delay, which is so helpful to just get moving. It’s frustrating to end a development and not move into refinement, but I appreciate the exercise. The 10 minutes does give some fun to start to get creative with the character. One pose I inverted to face into the page and I began to slap angel wings on the guy, but my paper real estate had them moving out of screen. Another I put a Mohawk on. Some of these turned a little violent, too, in terms of guns and swords, implements of destruction. I guess not too crazy though. in the 6th image, not premeditated, both figures come to represent some potentially deeper meaning. The guy looks down before him at a loss and with terror in his eyes as a female with sword drawn comes from behind ready to swipe. If I posted that to foreskin restoration forums, I bet a lot of men there would have some commentary on what it represented to them. Dr. Christiane Northrop, a New York Times bestselling author, demonized by the wicked Biden administration and the trillionaire and billionaire class, as one of the “dirty dozen” of online “disinformation,” has many times spoken of her great lamentation at all the circumcisions she has performed on all those poor, innocent, non consenting, baby boys.

The above are 2 minutes. Below I tried 10 minutes but I was struggling these couple of days. I just couldn't get the hang of it.

The 12 days after x-mas would be great for challenges next time ;-)

2 min warm ups and then some 10-15 mins, and Spidey :D (+10 min for him). Thank you Proko for the challenge, it was fun! It was really eye-opening to do something completely different from the usual stuff I do. And Happy Holidays! ^^

And now for the final day! Today I did a few 10-minute sketches first, and then a longer 30-minute sketch. It's my interpretation of the reference, not sure if we were supposed to do exactly that, but oh well haha. All in all, I really enjoyed this challenge! It motivated me to draw more, experiment more and even pick up my tablet again. I feel like I'm finally getting somewhere with this. Thank you so much, Proko team!

You’ve inspired me. Great work.

Quick gestures. 1 to 2 minutes.  I didn't want to start working on this theme until I watched the stream, but it was when I was about to go to bed, so I made drawings the next day after I finished watching the stream.

Also made a composition of four 20 minutes poses, and added a rough background. Thank you so much for the challenge, I had a lot of fun!

10 minutes. The figures I drew look stiff today. Maybe I was too nervous about proportions. I had to exaggerate the movement more. The timer function is really useful for daily exercises!
Naphtali Anderson
What’s up? Nice job I wouldn’t say they look stiff, I can easy tell what you are trying to convey in each pose which is awesome and the use of perspective… as far as a tip.. maybe a little more use of rhythm to establish flow your like alternating your curves and using a straighter line when the other side of the body part is a curve… if you know what I mean

oye, muy bien! El primero me gusta mucho, la elección de líneas más fuertes y más flojas está escogida con muy buen gusto y los volúmenes se ven muy claros! ole!

Everything is on 13.7*19.5 inch mat and canson paper. The graphite ones are 2 mins, the ink ones are 10 mins, so as the bigger graphite ones. The biggest one I don't upload for challenge consideration, it took me about 50 mins, but I liked it
Devon D. Yeider
Loved this! Definitely went over 10 minutes on these lol it was too fun

Nice job, Devon! I can see a bit of your DWJ influence coming through.
@anonymouscrow
Did 10x 30sec, 10x 1min, 10x 2min, then the same pose three times 10min each (except for the last I spent a few extra mins on) and then three other poses at 10mins. For the first page of 10min poses I tried to do the same pose but changed slightly, which was humbling 😅 Still very much a beginner at drawing from imagination. The last page I wanted to keep the energy of the gesture sketches into the 10min but I didn’t really manage that, I didn’t exaggerate the poses as I should’ve done. I’ll try that next time. Materials: mars lumograph and charcoal, ballpoint pen and brush pen, and graphite progresso.

Good work! Your gestures are especially sublime. I love how you can capture a pose with the fewest number of lines.
