If you’ve ever struggled drawing things that feel 3 dimensional, cross contours can be a game changer for you. They're super helpful for constructing forms, shading details, and they help you get better at visualizing your drawings in 3D. In this lesson I'll explain what they are, how to control the spacing and curviness accurately, and common mistakes to avoid.

It's a great lesson. Alot to think about.
At the end of the video you explain the different shapes still need to look like they are wrapping around the whole arm and it's not flattened out.
So is that achieved by thinking about the ends of the contours ( mentioned earlier in the video) and shading or have I missed something ?

try to do something to apply the newly learned knowledge. the bouncy ball and a 1-arm defender. Not sure if the perspective of the bouncy ball is right or not coz i try to imagine where i am at to view the motion. Cant wait for the upcoming project, yeah

Btw the twist… is something that has given me allot of headache in figure drawing course allreadly. I often get the lines in wrong directions . Or many of the beans is rough for me actually but mostly the twist. Have Made them many times and often Ive iinterpreted it differently than proko. But last time i thought its good enough so i finally could go pass that part in the course. It allmost gave me a burnout

This and shading are two topics that I never quite got. Hope this time's the charm.
Can I request some exercises or some videos to study the more advanced aspects of cross contour?
Also Poly says hi.

Thank you Stan for putting so much effort to help us. I have tons of resources but I derive the most value from your way of teaching. I always had so many doubts about this cross-contouring but today I had all my doubts cleared. Your videos seem like an interactive workshop as you assume the doubts and mistakes of a student and clarify them so precisely.

Thanks Proko! I really love these lessons. My drawing has gotten so much better over the past year at an alarming rate based on how I've been the previously before this class.
