Day 3: Been really struggling with my Isometric perspective assignment... so I decided to copy someone else's XD. Sorry, lwel your work deserves much, much better than I. Also did a quick sketch from my favorite comic book. (Fantastic Four 236 "Terror in a Tiny Town" John Byrne 1981) Need to carve out some time and start going through one of these "How to draw books", I can already see the rocky cliffs I'm heading for in the perspective course at my current skill level. (edit: lol... Or maybe go through this drawing basics class. I thought this was a in the Proko challenge thread :P)

Day 7: decided to draw some lamps in my sketchbook instead. Also some kangaroos that turned out ugly but not everyday is perfect 😁 Trying out the principle of "If you make a mistake, just move on to the next one". Developing a habit where I tell myself that its ok to fail.

Ok this is 11 and 12 and I get the message - I really need to draw (anything) on a daily basis. Some days I’ll use pencil and paper to force myself to develop the feel for drawing lines - other days I might “cheat” a little by using some of the features of my digital drawing app - so long as I’m drawing. I’m confident that the only way I’m going to make better drawings is to make more drawings.
One of the things I’m learning from the lessons and critiques is to give myself permission - especially permission not to be perfect. I may not be posting any more for this particular assignment but I will definitely try to keep up the daily drawing practice.

Day 2: Another day with only enough time to do a quick sketch T_T
This sketch is of a manikin I created back when I was working through George Bridgman's book a few years back.

Trying to make up for a couple days I took off for vacation. Sometimes I feel like I’m making progress - this is not one of those times. :/

Day 1: Not really how I wanted to start off but I only had 20 minutes to spare and I promised myself I was going to start filling up sketchbooks instead of being surrounded by random loose leafs of scribbles. So here it is! Grabbed a couple figures off my desk (Cheat Commando and Psyduck) spent about 10 minutes on each.

Day 8 - actually the reference picture was taken on day 8 and the drawing was done on day 10. Can you guess where I was when I took the picture? I’m still trying to find my confident line strokes - it’s especially difficult to make parallel curves. I find that I lay down really sketchy lines first then
partially erase and then attempt single strokes. The second image (red lines) is an attempt to go as fast as I can by tracing over the first image (this is all digital). It’s all a bit skiwampus but it is what it is.

Day 7 - crow. I thought I was being a little lazy with this subject but getting those curves just right is a challenge - it took a number of tries until I was even a little happy with the result.
