After a couple of lessons, I've decided to come back to this to try my hands on the level 2 of this exercise, This is my first time doing this. It was challenging sure, but It was more fun than I thought.

I used to get very frustrated while drawing, but lately, I've noticed that it's getting a little easier to understand the images I'm trying to draw. Yet there's a lot to learn.
I would appreciate some feedback on my drawing. :))
Day 2: Was a bit tired from a long day's work but i managed to squeeze in some time.

Snail and boots done.
Made a second version of the snail with different brush to try a different line quality (I kept similar base lines). I think it's a bit better with the second version.
Also made two versions of the boots, one with laces and one without. Laces seem fine (except top left where I clearly lost patience lol) but also a bit off : I used the same brush as base contours but smaller and I'm not sure if it was a good idea.

I know this is one of those hard ones...and It might be irrational...but I thought it would be fun to try to simplify something reflective...turns out...it's really hard
Straight to the hardmode!
It is a curious piece to draw though
Transparency and reflections haunt me in a good way. This is what makes objects interesting doesn't it - the pathfinding of light

So The First image with the first 2 drawings were the ones I made the day before (it was at night) (Reference used was Pear 1). The second slide was the one I made today, decided to test myself again before watching the demo (Reference was Pear 2) (that is the one on the left, the one without the background shading), and then after the demo (the one on the right). And I can already see a noticeable difference. Another major lesson was I learned was that I shouldn't draw when I am tired 😂 (surprise surprise it makes a difference).

It makes a hugeeee difference! Your state of mind will leak into your drawing as well. If you're bored your drawing will be boring, if you're interested your drawing will be interesting. A fascinating psychological aspect of creating that I would love to learn more about.
You've done a great job finding the separation between the light values and dark values here. I think thickening the core shadow value will help it look more like a shape than a line, it's just a touch thin. I really like the shapes you made in the last pear!
