ASSIGNMENTS

Use what you learned to create your own proportion chart.

  1. Mark Out Your 8 Sections:
Make a chart dividing the figure into eight equal parts, from the head to the pelvis.
  2. Detail Upper Body:
Divide the upper sections into thirds to accurately place the rib cage.
  3. Add Main Body Parts:
Draw the head, rib cage, and pelvis, considering how they align with the spine.
  4. Sketch Limb Positions:
Outline the legs with simple lines to show their direction.

Deadline - submit by Feb 16, 2025 for a chance to be in the critique video!

I did the first drawing while watching the video. The second I did an hour later. I referred back to my notes a lot.

The first picture was my study along with the video. The other three were my attempts to do it without looking at my study. The last two I was able to do it without looking so I felt I was okay to submit and progress further. Thanks!

Assignment by hand. I love the explanation of the back and forth movement of the spine and body parts. Very much action and reaction, or push and pull. I took anatomy classes years ago and had to memorize muscles, bones, landmarks and that took so much enjoyment out of drawing the figure, so I knd of moved away.

Hi, this is my attempt for the first assignment!

I should've left more space between the figures.
