Great start! Love the shape simplification and value rendering. Just keep an eye on the separation of light vs shadows. The darkest area, which you already have going across the pear, acts like a marker dividing the area of light values on the right and the area of the two darkest values on the left. Keeping these two separated and easy to distinguish helps bring more clarity and contrast to the entire form of the drawing.
