Some more drawings from observation. I'm trying to improve my loose line quality.

I started by drawing one sketch from observation then visualizing it from another perspective or in a different dynamic pose. Realized while watched Stan's observation critiques that these lines are not loose enough, but still enjoyed the process and think it turned out ok.

Once I committed to at least trying to draw this picture from different perspectives I found the mental block went away.

I’ve got some big news! My family just welcomed our third child! It was a bit of an early surprise, but we’re all doing great. Basics students - With this change, the next three months might run a little differently. I’ve built up a backlog of content to keep things moving, but there might still be an occasional gap. If a week goes by without new material, just know it’s temporary. Things will get back to normal soon. Thanks for your patience as I adjust to life with three kids and gives some attention to my little one. In the meantime, keep practicing, revisit older lessons, or share your progress with the community. I appreciate all of you. Thanks for being such a supportive group!

What a blessing! God bless you and your family Stan.

This was a lot more difficult than I thought. The first two drawings were from observation and the third one was from imagination.

These are really fun drawings and I love your reference. You did great simplifying the strange little critter. You could probably even take the simplification a step further on the the head. I love how you drew the bony hands. I love the pose that you went for. He still looks like a primate although his ears may have gotten a bit to big and his arms too skinny. I went over your work with my own drawings. Mostly because I also wanted to draw a Tarsier. Hope this helps. Thanks for sharing and keep going!

One studio ghibli inspired sketch for good luck.

Great study!

In addition to the three required assignments I decided to practice drawing from observation with some additional references. I slowed down and realized that I don't need to go fast which improved my line quality. Seeing Stan's demo's really helped me recognize the importance of accuracy still.

Wow, way to go above and beyond! Keep it up :)

Tried to move fast and capture the "energy" of the drawing without worrying too much about if a line was "accurate" enough
