I dig the cross contour lines made across the rat’s body and tail. That’s a lovely touch.
It’s ok to be sketchy, but you want to lengthen your marks to give your drawing more cohesion and flow.
I like your reference, rats are cool. So I tried my hand at it. Here’s a demo of how I might tackle this assignment. I kept mine super simple. Although I like how you added more detail to the face and toes.

Feel like the hand was just tough for me I had to do it three times the first time around and decided to just go with my first because the other two were just not coming out the way I wanted them to. The pencil drawings are the first attempts. I feel like after watching the video demo and critiques I missed the point of the assignment, so I redid them. The red pencil drawings are the 2 attempts. I tried this time to keep a more lose approach and not worry so much about proportion. You can see I cared a lot about proportion given I had to use two pages for the VR girl on my first attempt.

One more sketch I did referencing on of Terry Pratchett's characters. I think the illustrator was Josh Kirby (correct me if I'm wrong). Advice welcomed, as always!

Spider hand after watch demo. I tried to capture the rhythm of the hand, I had problems with the middle fingers when grouping them. But happy, I never usually make hands

The imagination drawing it's a bit weird, but I'm happy enough to post it and continue with the course.
