Great job turning blobs into boxes! I'll take a look through your submissions focusing on simplifying forms, foreshortening, and depth. Key takeaways include using basic planes, leveraging overlap, and refining structure without stressing about proportions too soon.

sorry late to the party, but how do I access the community assignment collections like shown in the video?

Hi Arian, The assignments shown in this vid are from the "Assignment - The Secret of Simple Forms" lesson (the first one in the "Intro To Forms" section). If you click on the lesson and scroll down (under the assignments tab), you should see everyone's submissions.

Awesome critique vid, lots to learn! After seeing the other assignment submissions, I felt I could push myself a bit more. I've picked out some more things to be practising now.

This is not really related to the crit which was really helpful, but is there a lesson to go with the airplane model? I want to make sure Im not missing anything.
Charlie Nicholson
Strictly speaking, no, but the airplane will make appearances throughout the course. This week we'll be releasing a demo further demonstrating the blob approach to create airplanes.
Stevie Roder
Great Critique, as always, Marshall. This blob-to-simple-shape assignment was a really fun one. I probably learned a ton more with this lesson. I am definitely going to do more blobs and simple form exercises. I still have plenty to learn about blobs; they are fun to draw. I love being a part of this group since I learn quite a bit from my fellow peer's advice they gave me, which I'm grateful for as well.

Great video, I'll be sure to try to recreate and alter some of the beginner friendly examples but take the time to try and understand the more elaborate ones. Also can't thank the more advance students enough for offering helpful comments and examples for us beginners, it's been invaluable and I appreciate it greatly. I hope to return the favor to others someday.

I'm smiling regularly and bragging to colleagues about the fact that you all are doing this thing!

Of course when I do a rush job it ends up in the thumbnail! But thank you for the pointer, the band of the padlock was very off, even after adjusting after tilting the real thing around.

I really liked your padlocks. It inspired me to work on some similar curved objects in my apartment!
Marshall Vandruff
Hardly a big deal. The MUCH bigger deal is that you worked on it, and your awareness is now keener!
Rachel Dawn Owens
Thank you Marshall. These critiques are awesome!
