At first I did the assignment with a pencil, but then I got a bit carried away and redid all the pencil marks with ink and added a bit of watercolor on top.
The hardest part was the twisting of the laces. They feel more like ribbons instead of laces with thickness. Following a similar line, very close to it, but slightly different was definitely tough.
I love the drawing of your boots.
Boots are hard to relate to in dimensions and proportions.
That's why art students are encouraged to carry out life drawings/sketches.
I like How the coloured boots turned out. watercolor looks so good. I would like to colour with it myself but my technique is… let’s just say…. Not good 😂 we’re civilised here.

Did it before looking at Stan’s demo. It’s a humbling experience — to learn how much you still have to learn.
Also, I think I need to upgrade my paper. It was really fighting against the Conte pencil.
That´s a great thing about practice, it shows you what you need to improve, so you can focus on that for the next practice and so on. If we already had all the skills developed and knowledge memorized, we wouldn´t be studying! lol I do like that you were willing to go all the way through even with difficulty, great effort bud!
