Asked for help
Hello everyone!
This assignment was definitely a challenge for me. I don't know why, but I struggled haha
I can imagine and sketch a 3D shape based on the ortho pretty easily (I think). But as soon as I try to think with vanishing points and accuracy and all that, I panic! I didn't know how to give the drawing the right depth in perspective.
But I didn't give up and ended up making a grid because that was the only way I could get things right. And it helped! Something clicked in my little brain lol and now I understand why it is so useful to draw boxes in perspective and why it helps when it comes to drawing from imagination.
I'll keep practicing this :) This assignment was so interesting.
When I started this course I never thought I would enjoy drawing boxes for hours and hours and yet I couldn't stop 😂
Thank you Marshall and Proko team for making such a fun course!
(sorry if my explanations make no sense, english is not my 1st language)

I tried to draw it by imagination after doing the ortho. Did I struggle ? Yes haha As you can see, there is room for improvement...But it was a fun challenge. I think I'm going to do a couple more.
I saw some of the students made the construction lines appear more clearly and it looks very cool so I'm going to try that too.

I feel lucky my name is just 3 letters !
I took this assignment as an opportunity to make a mini illustration and just to have fun with perspective :)

I had a lot of fun drawing these ! It definitely helped me with thinking in volumes and not just shapes. I feel like ellipses are a challenge though... Watching Philip DImitriadis' demo helped me a lot apprehending this in a more relaxed and fun way. Thanks so much for this wonderful course !

I learned a lot from this assignment.
First of all, I realized that I'm a bit lazy when it comes to perspective :,)
But I pushed myself to do some "clean" drawings and I surprisingly enjoyed doing those few drawings!
I did them after work and actually felt relaxed after drawing. I will definitely continue to work on this exercise regularly!
What I need to work on:
- Make more clean drawings
- Improve my precision

Thank you so much for sharing all those beautiful illustrations with us (I'm in love with Virginia Sterrett's work !), it was very interesting to see how we can use perspective in so many different ways.

I feel like we're going to learn so much, not just about perspective, but about picture making as a whole. I can't wait !!

I'm so looking forward to studying perspective !
My goal through this course is mainly to be able to tell stories.
I want to be able to shift the camera angles with accuracy, to fit the story of my illustrations.
I also think studying perspective will allow me to draw things I usually don't draw much, such as architecture. I think it will help improve my skills in drawing but also my creativity as a whole.
