Your shading is so smooth! Looks good, I would say that the dark values are a bit close on the 11 value scale. You can make more space for them adding more light values. If you started your scale with the light values, you could try starting with the dark values if you were to try again, you might find you have a bit more control.

Perhaps something like this? You could use the water reflections on the shark’s back as a loose guide for the cross-contours.

This assignment I had to try multiple times to get something satisfactory, I think this one was the best one so far. I Did a picture of a lizard, any feedback will be appreciated!

OKAY, so the snail still destroyed me when it came to problem solving proportions. It looks fine after some measurements and some "I feel like this line should be this long". Simplifying the body of the snail was the most difficult part.
