Not sure if I did the assignment correctly. He said to use tapered and energetic strokes, but I kinda feel like I'm only able to do that with long strokes where I can use my whole arm.

I missed the part about filling a whole page each day, and I think I draw too small. So I've tried to draw bigger. Also I realized that I need to properly look at my own drawing and analyze whether the proportions are correct. Was too focused on the lines with the piano chair (from 1/1-24) so it turned out wildly disproportionate.
I tried keeping that in mind later on, for example when I was drawing the electrical socket (from 21/1-24) I didn't just wing it as I normally do but actively reminded myself "this is a SQUARE" and looked at my drawing as a whole to judge whether it was actually had the proportions of a square or a rectangle.
This feels like a basic concept, but I don't think I ever realized that drawing involved so much observation and analysis? I thought it was more about just having an innate sense....

This was surprisingly difficult, but I think I've improved a lot! The first mushrooms I drew were very lopsided and just... didn't connect? I still have some trouble varying the pressure.

First attempt! I was uncertain on how detailed I was supposed to be and ended up not being detailed enough. I just watched the demo and have written down a lot of pointers on what I can improve for my next attempt.
Very excited to give this another go!
Can't wait to see your next attempt! You made a very interesting choice in using different pencils for different values. I really lets the value contrast pop! Pointers: don't outline your values to let you observe that contrast properly, and don't be afraid to push some of the pencils further to contrast them more, because as I see it your two lights and your two darks are two close together. Maybe fill with a lighter touch when using the HB and push a bit harder with the 6B.
