I would Appreciate your feedback on these attempts :)

this is one of my line studies of Ecuadorian Master Edward Kingman (known as the hand painter). I struggled more than I thought, it is much harder to do loose lines than it seems (that’s why he is a master) critiques much appreciated!

I took your @Maricool advise, and went for the hands. More intimidating than it seemed. Really good exercise! Thanks for the encouragement:)

First attempt at penguin, caught myself a little anxious to just copy the penguin as it was. Did anyone else encounter something similar?
Gabriela Santos
Was not entirely feeling it today, but it turned out ok

Asked for help
I've done this assignment a couple times and I think I need some help with it
Gabriela Santos
Have you seen the demo yet?
Gabriela Santos
I am not sure is I am following the assignment, this is my first attempt. I am unsure is more detail should go in it, or less detail. Help please :)

Warming up, I found that drawing in red is fun, I run into this issue though: I used two different red leads, the first one is more like a colored pencil type of lead and the second one is a staedler drafting lead, both in mechanical pencils the Steadler one I found to flow easier and it is easier to push on what I wanted to be darker I hope this helps for anyone doing this exercise in red

Hi everyone! This is my second attempt on the pear and the first attempt on the portrait, I appreciate all your feedback ☺️
@rfrimpong3
It’s a little rough but here it is
Gabriela Santos
Hi! the shapes are meant to be sharper, loose the round edges. quick suggestion, try to keep the lines in the same direction in the midtone area, just like you did for the background
@markimus
First attempt at the pear, I would love some critique! I feel as if I went a little too heavy handed on shadows, but I am happy with my outline shape of the pear 🍐

The shapes are there, the light midtone value and the lightest shadow value are the same. I suggest for you to make the light midtone lighter so you could see a difference, and leave the highlight without a contour. is a cool interpretation
