I sort of started with eyeballing and then progressively corrected with measuring and alignments as I went. I'm not sure if this is a good way, or if I should measure first, eyeball second or something. I am quite messy tho .-.

Always start by eyeballing first, then measure to check it. This is how you train your eye to be more accurate.

I think I didn't simplify enough on some of them, so I'll continue to do more later.
Did 1 more attempt. I wanted the head to look more in the foreground, and also make the foot look like it's coming forward.

I tried just simplifying the bigger shapes and not including the smaller ones. I'll probably do these again tomorrow.

Attempt #1. The ellipses were kinda fun. Way more challenging than expected to get different pressures within an ellipse. It seemed like it would help to slow down, but the results on the ones I did more slowly didn't really differ from the ones I drew quickly. Some of these are a real mess! Poor Mario mushroom!
Haha, I love the eye design on the right, it makes them look less like 0_0. Next time I do this warm up I'm gonna be using those :P

I love this assignment! It's so much more fun than just drawing ovals. I used my chance to practice with the brush pen and used it instead of the pencil.
I found it much more enjoyable too! I used to fill up a page of just ovals as warm-up before, but I'll definitely be doing these more often.
Nice drawings and exploration! I do not know the scale of the drawing but I would throw caution to doing bigger ones that force you to control arm movement as well instead of only finger and wrist.

this took me almost 45min. I thought it was a great exercise. Keeping t escapes angular helped me not to get lost while I was concentrating on the details.
I love how you merged the form shadow of the pear with its cast shadow. It looks great! :)

Here's my level 1 assignment. Going to try tackling the portrait tomorrow!
I thought I'd have time to do a bunch of these today but it turns out a spent 2 hours on the first one - which I promptly discarded - and another 2 hours on this one which I think needs a wider value range?
