Here's my submission. Coincidentally with this class I decided to switch to a screenless tablet, hence the hairy lines and wobbly ellipses 🫣😅

It looks so good! May I ask, how long did you practice with ink to draw like that?
Chloe
I attempted a portrait of Bilbo. I struggle so much getting likenes when I use the pencil. I hope it means that I grow artistically 😅

I updated the shading. I still struggle to see values working with graphite. It’s so much easier to me digitally. But I’m willing to practice and learn.

I drew a Balrog today. I love the design of the horns! Also, it looks like the Balrog is sneezing on that picture 😅 A-ACHOO!!

For the challenge, I forced myself to draw with a pencil rather than digitally. I noticed that I need a bigger surface to draw on to feel comfortable with the traditional tools 🤷‍♀️

Day 8 (from yesterday 😄) After I started Marshall’s Bridgman course on Yt I searched for block figures and drew some. The first 3 are from a ModernDayJames vid.

I like your study of Cambiaso! I remember that figure from the book Drawing Lessons from the Great Masters that was, unsurprisingly enough, also recommended by Marshall in one of the episodes of the Draftsmen podcast. I really enjoyed the book.
