Here's my submission. Coincidentally with this class I decided to switch to a screenless tablet, hence the hairy lines and wobbly ellipses 🫣😅
I updated the shading. I still struggle to see values working with graphite. It’s so much easier to me digitally. But I’m willing to practice and learn.

day 09: facial expression studies done in procreate, focusing on simplifying the shadows and using lines to convey the movement of the facial skin.

What are three things you've learned so far during this two week challenge?
For the challenge, I forced myself to draw with a pencil rather than digitally. I noticed that I need a bigger surface to draw on to feel comfortable with the traditional tools 🤷♀️

Day 8 (from yesterday 😄) After I started Marshall’s Bridgman course on Yt I searched for block figures and drew some. The first 3 are from a ModernDayJames vid.
I like your study of Cambiaso! I remember that figure from the book Drawing Lessons from the Great Masters that was, unsurprisingly enough, also recommended by Marshall in one of the episodes of the Draftsmen podcast. I really enjoyed the book.
