added comment in4 Steps to Draw the Head from Any Angle
Thank you so much. This lesson was awesome. I struggle with the Loomis method for some reason, but your approach feels so easy and intuitive.
I have a question. What size do you recommend drawing practice heads? I tried various sizes and found that starting with a sphere around 1-1/4 to 1-1/2 feels about right, but I would love to hear your wisdom on this.

That's great to hear! I'd recommend sticking to the size you're comfortable at for now. When you're ready I'd aim for drawing the head a little larger. Maybe, in total, the size of your palm.

I struggled with getting the head proportions correct. I knew it was too short, so I lengthened it early on, and it still ended up being too short! I think I’m going to keep moving forward, but any feedback would be appreciated, so I know what to work on when I come back to this exercise.
I don’t know anything about proportions. I just wanted to say you really captured his scowl!

I feel very silly because this drawing felt so perfect, then I put it into Photoshop, and apparently it's extremely narrow and I can't even resize it to fit the photo - that's how inaccurate and skewed it is 🤦♀️
I see what you mean about him being too narrow. But, I feel like you captured his likeness. I really like it. Good job. I think the next time you can just check it a few more times before you fill in all the details and get a chance to make corrections.
I don’t know enough to critique. I just want to say good job for being so dedicated to do all of those. With all that practice, you are going to make great progress. And one more comment, I especially like your squirrel. He is cute, and I like the confident quality of the lines. I think some of the longer, curved lines in the squirrel make for a pleasing visual movement in the drawing, like the swoopy back and tail.

I just signed up today, and did the Simplified Pear and Portrait exercises. Main problems I think were accuracy and keeping the different tones consistent. Thanks if any comments on other problems seen.
Your portrait is really gorgeous! I don’t have any critique. You clearly have some experience drawing. Just keep going!
