Great job sculpting the Loomis head! and I love what looks like a paper model of the head in the background. Super exciting to see all the hard work you've put into the course. I wish all the students were working as hard as you to implement the lessons. Keep it up!

I'm working on a model, simplify the masses I like the Loomis model since it is the favorite and best known basic form.

Nice job! great to see that you're doing the assignments! The tip of the chin might be a little more triangular as it tapers from the cheekbones down to the tip of the chin but for a rough head shape it's looking good.

I’m surprised that there is absolutely no instruction regarding the planes of the head as shown on the Loomis Head, nor any instruction on measurements, proportions etc. Most disappointing.
Andrew Joseph Keith
You might consider watching the videos on the "secondary forms of the head" that are up next in the course. These videos go over planes and simplifying the features.

To begin this craft I zeroed in on the Loomis Head in clay as an introduction to portrait sculpting. It took me a couple of weeks to get the money for a course I wanted to take so while I waited I took advantage of all the free tutorials I could from AJ Keith. All I did was make Loomis heads over and over. I wanted to really get it. I’m closer.

Hey great job! I'm glad you took advantage of the free content and have found the information useful! I hope to see more of your work in the assignments!

My Loomis Head. I spent a little too long on this one considering it should be a quick block in

Looks good. I also took a some time on this one; but enjoy the time working on it.

Looking good!

Loomis head quick block-in. Think I might have back of head too large again. Will keep working on that. Enjoying the process. Scottie

Looks like a great improvement to me! Do you think you have a preference of the three approaches yet?
