Hello to Proko, Stanen and Marshall friends. I am a student of graphics and animation. And I live in Iran, unfortunately in this country we study in the worst possible conditions and with a shortage of professors and teachers, and to get to the university we have to take very difficult exams and spend most of our time just reading long materials, please Stan and Marshall I want them to read this message and answer me. How can I immigrate to a country with easier educational conditions at a lower cost?

I have take a long 6 or so month break after getting so burnt out to the point of having to quit art altogether! Now when I am finally in a better place, doing art just does not feel quite the same, so I wanted to ask, what would you guys recommend to get back into it?

What's an effective way to test your current mastery in drawing perspective?

Hi so uhm i have been seriously getting into art now for 3 years (after i graduated from a course my parents chose) so i have been joining my other friends in exhibits who have experienced these way longer than i have. And even though i feel inspired in their work. I also feel a bit discouraged. I feel pressured to go along with them and create stuff im not proud off. So my question is is it okay to re evaluate myself as an artist. To find my place in all of this and polish my skill? Even even though it may take some time.

Hi guys, love your show! Can you do an interview or discuss examples of artists who has made a mid-life career change to the arts and was successful? Anything from someone who was doing art as a hobby and then changed it into a career to someone who was interested in art, developed their skill over a 'short' time (3 yrs or so?) and then made a career of it?

Hi. I have a question. What is art? And is digital art, art? thanx
@simonjustsimon
I have been drawing/painting for a few years now. Recently, I tried tracing a few times, but it has made me lazy. It has reached a point that I'm starting to forget how to free hand. What do I do?

So Ik I might be too late but I really need your opinion on sth. So this was a reply I said to a person who (that I felt) was talking down on anime as a professional thing. " You have a point, and it's become a hard core rule not to follow advice from tiktok artists, instagram artists, generally any artist who can't back their skills up.  BUT at the same time, I feel when you talk about anime, there's just one style of anime that you look at things from, which makes it pretty reductionist(search the word).  Yeah, you aren't gonna get perfect proportions, but not entirely. I mean if you look at manga written by people like junji ito, hirohiko araki, the guy from vagabond, boichi from dr stone, and last but not least, murata from one punch man. These guys are masters in balancing anime and traditional art.  Besides, just because it has all these errors (and take it from a weeabo that there's a lot of well drawn art too, proportion-wise as well) DOES NOT mean that it should not be mentioned. I mean, that's just unfair and does a disservice to all the people I mentioned above. Sorry man, just venting. " What're your thoughts on this ?

Do you think you'll ever do a lesson on clutter and chaos?

Hi! Love the podcast. I’ve been struggling with whether to take commissions or not for pet portraiture (I paint in oils). I get really demotivated when the client comes back with many changes requested, and says it doesn’t have enough of a likeness of their pet. Any suggestions? I’m thinking of steering away from commissions and more towards selling my alla prima paintings.

Marshall, about the composition bootcamp, if I purchase the eavesdropper tier, will I be able to watch the feedback and project briefs if I don't catch the streams? (Timezones make it difficult to watch live)

Hello guys! I'm starting out and I'm wondering how much time a person should commit to a particular aspect in art be it the fundamentals or beyond that before moving onto another aspect. I've gotten answers like do it to the extent that you understand it well, but what is "well enough"? As I see it, there's always more to learn about the subject. Basically, am I ready to move to the next aspect when I don't wanna be underdeveloped in this one?
Arshvir Sekhon
I have been doing art (drawing, painting, 3d/digital art) on and off for the past few years but for reasons, never been able to fully commit to it. I guess being young I though I had enough time to get into it but, as I am nearing my late 20es I have realized how life will get in your way and that this might be the last chance for me to peruse my career in arts. Do you have any advice of someone who has finally figured out that he would really love to pursue concept art as a career but thinks, has wasted to much time and is stressed by the amount of material he has to learn and master in a shorter period of time compared to someone in their early 20s. I may already know what you might say to this person but would like to hear some more of your opinion on it.

I was in this Composition Class, it is so helpful to see these steps and how it all works together. It would be great Marshall to see more of a path through each step..

Hi, I have wrist problems and that's why I have stop drawing until I can go to a doctor, but since Marshall says he writes and I have ideas of stories, I would like to know what advice can you give to start a written habit of at least 1 hour at day when you are more visual oriented?
Dean Hoebergen
Hi Marshall can you explain your approach to those memory drawings you just showed on screen?

Hi, I'm a 16 year old female high school student. I am wondering how do I conve cohesion in my work, without doing the exact same thing .Are their ways to do it or a process. Are their any artist that show cohesion in their work while maintaining diversity.

What career opportunities are available for an artist who is 50 years old and works mainly with Photoshop? And in the same vein, is it possible to make a career as a fine artist or a portrait artist if you work digitally? ... By the way, thank you Marshal for helping me sort out writing vs painting.
