I love every time Marshall doesn’t have an immediate answer so he says “good question. But I’m not going to answer… lets break it into categories 😍”. I use that now to sound smarter

Entertaining discussion. IMO - I think the better question is there too much art making? Answer: Absolutely not! The universe continues to create so it's part of who we are. However, if we hold on to things because we call it art, we become hoarders; so it's okay to destroy art too if it has no long term value to inform or enhance the lives of future generations.

Interesting discussion. In my humble opinion, there isn't too much art, but rather too much art being presented. I think it's great to use art as therapy and personal pleasure, but if you aren't trying to get hired for commissions, you don't need to post it on social media and portfolio sites. Too much casual art is flooding the market online and making it difficult for those of us who are trying to make a living, actually get seen.

This went in some interesting directions. I wish you had talked about the impact of consuming so much visual content on screens, particularly in terms of the developmental impact that has on us as visual artists as we continuously strive to improve upon our craft.

Great discussion. If you haven’t read it, read “The Gift” by Lewis Hyde.

Marshall is a gem. Stan too. The world is a better place with them in it.

Very deep and enjoyed it….as I love all your podcasts! I worry about AI where a robot can duplicate any art in a matter of seconds….what then?
