Ready for edges? I know I need a lot more adjustment of the values but not sure how far to take it before the edges. When I get more painting experience would I incorporate edges as I am establishing value or would I still work according to these 'steps'? Thanks, Morgan!
I think it’s slowly coming all together and at this stage I really liked where it’s heading. I remember how excited I was in before the edge adjustment stage
get out your average light mixture and see if you can tame down all the busyness of lights and halftones everywhere. Squint and clean up the lights. Try to make simple shapes in the hair.
Great set up. Edges next and hone the drawing continually. Take this picture in your phone and have the reference at the next picture on your phone. swipe back and forth at your painting and the photo. Pay attention to certain areas each time you swipe back and forth. Notice the little differences you may have missed and can't see right now. It will be enlightening.
Sorry i forgot to take a shot of the two value stage. I think I will continue to work on this half-tone stage and in the shadows afterwards. I was going to give up, but your encouragement motivated me to keep going. Thank you Morgan.
