I know that alot of this is hard to see. I switched from an hb to a 2b pencil after the light, medium, dark lines exercise. I had a big focus on keeping my hand relaxed and not grabbing the pencil too tightly, as that is a habit I need to break. This is where having gone through some of drawabox pays off I feel. But i am still very inconsistent when drawing in alot of different angles, as DaB really focuses on rotating the paper to one drawing angle everytime. I do want to practice getting more comfortable with all kinds of drawing directions. I like that this course gives you more freedom to adjust to your own need and wants, instead of telling you to do something in an extremely specific manner. I also need to stop using both sides of this sketchbooks paper for assignments, as the back side just bends too much. I will use it for daily sketching, but the bend ist too frustrating if you try to get stuff right.

This was quite a fun challenge! The hand was pretty difficult, but I pushed through anyways. :D I am happy with this, exept for the elipses on the right of VR Girl, but the paper ist bending alot there, which makes it really hard to get a proper line out. All of this was pre demo. I appreciate any comments, hints and critiques!

Good job on your hand, I personally struggle with hands myself. Its good to know I'm not alone

The left one is after the demo and I got more confident with it while doing it. I quite like the improvement. still some spotty areas, but thats gonna get better with time

Those boots kicked my butt. I am looking forward to watching the demo and seeing how I can improve.

Same! Those laces were tough. But I really like your shapes for the snail and boots. Very clear.

First time I did something like this and it was quite interesting. I will try it again after watching the demo. I definitely drew too big, not leaving enough space for the shadow.
