Here is my attempt; it wasn't easy.

I think my first attempts were not simplified enough. I redrew the buffalo and the hippo with more simplicity in the last image.
Martha Muniz
Great progress in simplification! You really captured the essence of the subjects with good shape choices especially in the later drawings.

The first 2 studies are the skulls from Jeff watts. The third is from Kentaro Miura.
Patrick Bosworth
Nice work on these, especially the profile skull! Keep it up!

I prefer my hierarchy of importance. In my light and shadow one, I feel like it's hard to actually see it as light and shadow.

I'm pretty happy with my attempts, but I really struggle with the hand. Any suggestions are welcome !

Here are my attempts. I don't think my lines are very clean. I'm open to any suggestions !

I think you're heading in the right direction here! Your CSI choices are solid. There's no quick fix for line quality, in my experience it's something that develops similarly to exercising a muscle, a skill you build. Getting in the habit of drawing with long, tapered strokes will be tough at first but as you build the muscle memory you will improve. Just keep practicing and staying conscious of it.

Here is my first pear. I am not sure if the difference between my values is clear enough. Thanks for any feedback !

I think your edges look great! I can clearly tell when one value ends and another begins -- and great job not outlining your value shapes. I would say that your value range could be expanded a bit and that will help you add more contrast in the lighter value range. I made this visual aid to illustrate my point. Hope this helps!
