Here is my attempt, that's the one I struggle the most with. I feel like it's harder for me right now to eyeball proportions.
Nice attempt. Yeah eyeballing proportions is tough. It takes me about 2 hours or so to complete something I am feeling alright with. I think its just putting the miles in and see what works for you when you lay it out, and measure proportions. Happy drawing! :)

I think my first attempts were not simplified enough. I redrew the buffalo and the hippo with more simplicity in the last image.

Great progress in simplification! You really captured the essence of the subjects with good shape choices especially in the later drawings.

I made this one after the demo, I had a hard time finding the most important lines and I think i made them too thick.

I prefer my hierarchy of importance. In my light and shadow one, I feel like it's hard to actually see it as light and shadow.

I'm pretty happy with my attempts, but I really struggle with the hand. Any suggestions are welcome !
