I really enjoyed this lesson.
aside from the eyes, this was the first time I drew these types of characters as I usually create more idealized faces.

I’m still learning to be comfortable with values. Might have overworked this one a bit. I wanted to let the legs fall into shadow but fell into a terrible middle ground that resulted in underbaked feet. Looking forward to more grayscale paintings though. This brown tone process was very fun.

At the end of this journey I'm quite proud of how the final pieces turned out, although I could certainly use more practice and will continue to do so! I've learned more than I could have ever imagined, thank you Stan for creating a course that was fun to follow and easy to grasp. I am so appreciative! I cant wait to start another.

This challenge is definitely motivating me to do some quick-sketches on a regular basis.

I’m not quite sure if my understanding of the ellipses around the “equators” are correct. Any feedback is welcome.
