Did the girl and penguin first, then watched the demos for those two before attempting the hand. I definitely tried to let myself be a lot more loose and sketchy on the hand, but maybe swung a little too far in that direction! Oh well ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I really like the hand you've done Mackenzie! The sketchy aspect really emphasizes the flow, it looks really nice!

I'm still getting a liiiittle too caught up in the details, but feeling good about how much my line quality has improved since the boot+snail assignment.

After toiling away at the boots for SO LONG, drawing the snail took two seconds. I'm feeling happy with how I designed my shapes, but the lines seem pretty stiff. Gonna keep practicing the page skating warmups to see if it helps me loosen up a bit.

Great job, @Mackenzie Turner!

This was done after watching the demo + critiques for the pear assignment, in an attempt to practice what I learned. Feeling pretty happy with how the shapes + values are organized, but still needing to work on the cleanliness of my marks!

I was actually pretty surprise how nice these looked in the end, considering how much my brain was like "I can't tell what you're trying to make here..." for most of the process. First image was my original attempt, and the second was done while following along with the demo. Definitely made me realize I could have gotten a lot more value "punch" out of the first drawing if I had used more than one pencil!
@lydialoreaux
Nice progress! I also had a realization of how narrow my value scale used to be when I drew everything with HB. 6B is my new favorite along with 2B.
