It was my first time doing gesture drawing, and it was a complete disaster, my drawings look like stick figures, and the 1 minute poses were very incomplete, but it was fun, I need to practice a lot more.

Hey there! Welcome back :)
I agree with what the previous comment said, though I also wanted to recommend separating your values according to light and shadow. For example, you could choose your lightest 3 values to be on the light side, with the darkest 2 for the shadow. When these are kept to their respective categories. it keeps your values clean and reinforces the form and lighting of the object. So currently, the value group surrounded by the darkest group would benefit from being darkened into the darkest or second darkest value, to maintain that illusion of shadow. Other than that, I think you have absolutely great simplification and control of your medium -- keep up the good work :)

I think your drawing turned out quite nice!
The only thing I would suggest (and I think this was mentioned in the demo as well) is to keep the outline of your “value shapes” the same as the actual value of that area.
Also regarding your new attempt at the course, my advice would be to not get discouraged by how much lies ahead. And don’t try to rush it, thinking that you have to somehow catch up. Just focus on your current lesson, work at your own pace, and do the best you can.

I finally managed to catch up with the project, this is my first try on the vr girl. The tapered stroke was very difficult for me, I need more practice, I'm going to see the demo and try to correct my mistakes.
