I went with ink on this challenge. Nice to get a few minutes for myself just drawing each night, even if it's late and I'm dead tired :-)

Page skating was a new type of exercise that I haven't come across before, liked it!

Here are my attempts before watching the demo. Happy with the penguin but struggled with the robot. Sorry robot! I think all the details threw me off, which was probably the point. Might give it another go after watching the demo.

Good work! I really enjoy seeing the construction that went into the drawings, especially in the penguin and hand. I'm not sure if you changed the process with the robot or if the lay-in lines are just more faint, but keep thinking of the major shapes and flow of lines that make up the subject. Despite having all the detail, it can be reduced to a simple head, limbs, torso, and boots, and everything else can be left until the end. Take the gesture of the pose into account as it can further help simplification, like connecting the pairs of arms into a sweeping curve (and this can apply to the pair of legs as well).

My attempts at the boots and snail before watching the demo. The boots became quite messy, but I'm happy with how the snail turned out.

Great exercise. Found it difficult to control the pressure to get the ellipses darker where I wanted them to be, so will definitely put this into my practise routine. Thanks Proko!

Here is my attempt at level 1, before and after demo. Liked the assignment, looking forward to the rest! :-)

You definitely seem to have learned a lot from the demo as far as simplification! You did a great job with the suggestion of the stem and top of the pear in both. The one thing I might suggest is trying to ease those lines on your shadows. The outline being in the solid area of the cast shadows make me look at the shadow when you want the viewer to be looking at the great detail you put into the body of the pear. The lines make the shadow feel like it's also a detailed thing intended for me to look at. Looking forward to seeing the stuff you make for the other assignments!
