When I first saw this video on youtube and stan said, wait for a minute, think what you wanna draw, and tthen move--- it increased my drawing quality so much that I was like I HAVE TO SIGN UP FOR THIS CLASS. Before and after:

1st pic bottom is my imagination drawing of a sloth. I can see huge improvement after watching the demo. Exploration is about understanding the characteristics of your character and then implementing them into your ideal character. My goal is to create a sloth having fun while maintaining its adorable and laziness. My ideal goal is to be able to animate it :D Feedback is very welcome.

i'm a natural hard worker and fast-paced and hence I adore sloths' contrasting slow-paced lifestyle and just their adorable personas (those smiley faces make me so happy). Currently watching olympics gymnasts and really want to incorporate some gymnastic poses into sloths as they seem to have so much flexibility. Maybe I'll do a couple more - feedback is very welcome :)

Did a set of 3 photos i found online. Overall I think they turned out okay, but certain parts like the feathers and the fuzz on the bee were really tricky, and I wasn't sure how to approach them, even with loosely sketching

First pic: 2nd attempt with 2B after watching video Second pic: 1st attempt with 4b after watching video Third pic: before watching video I think I'm getting the loose lines more after switching from 4b to 2b pencils. The lines still feel a bit awkward as I think I'm using too much straights but they were intentional to keep the angles right.

wow. this is by far the most challenging exercise for me. I usually draw fast gestural poses and proko's course has taught me to slow down to properly look at angles instead of rushing to complete the images. I started off by drawing the penguin and realize I was too careful with my lines. After drawing the hand, I realize I needed to learn to control my line weight. The robot was challenging for me as I took more than 30 minutes to make sure I was looking at the angles while doing the loose lines! (I have never drawn a pose for more than 20 minutes oops, this is testing my patience.)Now I realise I have to practise my curves more but overall happy with the journey and result. Can anybody tell me if I'm using loose lines in my drawings or am I being too careful? :D

did some contour lines after watching proko's critique of the assignments. i was trying to play with line weights but don't think i captured them right. overall i can see i've improved my accuracy in drawing lines.
