Studied after Glen Keane
Stefan Sharkov
Good execution. Glean Keane shades his sketches with what seems to be a side stroke of his pencil. Your shading lines are too clear and precise. But that is a minor critique, overall your studies are successful.

Tried with another pair of shoes and a few reference on Pinterest. Not totally get it, but I'm happy spending time for it.
@anhhong
My attempts before (1) and after (2 and 3) watching the demo. Happy when spending time to re-do it.
@anhhong
Not totally happy with the drawings but I'm so glad I spent time for it.

Hi there! I think these drawings turned out really nice!   I would say that the best thing to do right now is to go ahead and watch the demo. After that, make sure to give the project another try. This type of exercise can be a bit uncomfortable if you’ve never done it before (at least that’s how it was for me). However, once you get more familiar with being in this state of exploration, practicing drawing from imagination becomes really fun.  I also noticed that your lines show some really nice confidence, but after multiple passes they end up looking a bit scratchy. What really helped me was to give the colored pencil a try. The waxy texture really allows you to be more loose with your lines and it’s much easier to control the pressure. This is especially useful in situations like these, where you have to explore a lot and where the first line you draw might not be the one you were looking for. For me it made a really big difference and I would encourage you to at least give it a try. :D I hope this helps. Good luck!

My 1st attempt. I think I need to practice the curve lines. Do I draw too light? It looks more dark on the paper but not showing on the photo. The proportion is still an issue. But I had so much fun when drawing. Thankss.
@anhhong
I went to Pinterest and picked some references. And also tried to draw tha homestay when I travelled. Normally it took more than 30 mins even 1 hour+

Nice, cat content always works :-). Is the 3rd (red) one also from pinterest?
@anhhong
My 1st attempt & second one while watching the demos. I realized that I focused too much on the details for the 1st time and it took more time (1-1,5 hour). There is always something wrong with the proportions for both attempts. The lines are not confident yet. After all, I'm happy because I learned the process now, I tried to be patient and had fun while drawing. Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks.
@anhhong
I found it very challenging with the details of eyes & lips. The due I drew looks different with the reference (eyes are bigger & the lips look like he's smiling). It's also difficult to erase & change after already filling the value. Any feedback would be appreciated! Thanks

You have really great values, simplification, and shading consistency, and a great improvement from the first to second attempt. I think it's just a matter of finding more accuracy in proportions. A practice that helps is measuring the alignments of elements in the reference horizontally and vertically. For example, on the horizontal, the top of his ear is at the same level as the leftmost tip of the eyebrow on the left and the top right corner of the right eyebrow. On the vertical, the bottom right point of his chin aligns with the right corner of his mouth and the inner corner of the right eye. Spending some time measuring and then checking/correcting your first lay-in sketch before shading can help you catch proportions mistakes early on. Even so, there will be a lesson later in the course that focuses on developing accuracy as a skill, so don't worry too much about it now, but it's a good habit to keep as you continue in your art practice. Hope this helps!

I think your second picture is very dog in terms of using simple shapes and values. However I feel you would have have a much easier time if you constructed the head first. That way, the proportions would be correct and everything would line up with eachother, but of course this is a beginners course so in time that skill will be covered.
@anhhong
My 1st attempt. Appriciate any comments.
