I used the Monster clay hard to make a Donald Trump pancake sculpture. For the smooth finish, I used combination techniques of thinner liquid and torch to melt the surface a little bit and smooth it.

Hey nice job! Great photo reference to work from! You might want to take the sculpture and hold it up to the reference on a screen just to double check the proportions and silhouette (for example the shape of the nose might be slightly different in the photo reference) Keep up the good work and I hope to see more!

Nicely done! Be careful that the eye doesn't overwhelm the structure of the eye socket. In the photo you see how much of a shadow is cast by the structure of the eye socket and in your sculpt the eye might bulge out a bit much. Great start! I look forward to seeing more of your assignments!

First pancake try. Supposed to be George Clooney. I could see how these will be helpful with likenesses.

Awesome! It looks like the facial features might be a bit large compared to the shape of the head. Great job!

I really struggled with this one. I couldn't get it looking close

Hey it's not bad! If you want you can try aligning it with the photo on a larger screen and that could help. Likeness is definitely a difficult thing to capture but that's why its good to practice these regularly.

This is great. Accurate proportions.

Did quick sketch based on the selfie to familiarize myself with the angles. Then did the profile pancake. I photographed it as a series to show its development. The last two stages went beyond the quick sculpt stage and were just to see how far i could take it.
