Here is my entry for the 2024 sculpture competition. Three weeks was the right amount of time. I didn’t feel too rushed, but I couldn’t stop moving. We had a great model and a great pose and I made some modifications to the angle of the rib cage placement of the hand on the hips and gave her a haircut.

Hello everyone, I saw the competition a little late and accordingly I lack the time to lose myself in the details...anyway, here is my sculpture...I had a lot of fun sculpting, great pose and difficult contrapposto…! Good luck to everyone! Height: 28cm

Hello, everyone. I found the exercise challenging because it is not possible to visualize all the details of the model's body due to: i) the lighting coming only from one side of the model and ii) the support on which the model leans hides much of the right side of her body. I enjoyed the journey and the learning experience of having to imagine the missing parts! Haha... Anyway, this is my version. It was made in oil clay and measures 30 cm in height. Good luck to everyone!

Sorry for the re-upload but I saw some things that needed fixing and the pictures didn't look great so I re-shot. Hi. My name is Ken Lawson. I have been doing drawing and painting my whole life and decided a couple years ago to try sculpture so that I could do a Sideshow style sculpture of the bass player of The Warning. I always jump in head first like an idiot. I worked on it off and on for a year and a half learning, re-doing and refining. (It is on my You-Tube channel if you are interested. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hXwMJCtfwY4) This is my second sculpture and my first contest. I've always done portrait work so it was right up my alley and I liked that it was all about detail. Hope you like it. It was done in Monster clay with foil and paper filler as well as a thick concrete bit to stabilize it through the leg so that it didn't need support other that the pedestal. Thank you Proko for doing this contest.

Hello there, started the challenge on 17th... Exhausted.
Mariel Petrov
Hello! My name is Mariel, a total amateur from Bulgaria. This assignment helped me break through a plateau, and this is the second female sculpt I've done. I'm mostly interested in fictional characters with wings, horns, and plenty of other details, so sculpting a bare body felt much more challenging than I thought. So, there she is. /redid the photo shoot with a black background as recommended in the instructions file/

Hello Everyone, I am new to sculpting, but have a good amount of drawing and painting experience, so this competition was just the motivation I needed to get me working on my first real sculpture. I used the dollar store clay as well as the wire armature design that Andrew recommends in his YouTube videos. I still have a lot to learn, but I am pretty happy with my results. Best of luck to everyone! -Josh
