thanks Stan, I won an anatomy of arms course, which I already have is it possible to give it to someone else or get a different course instead?

20 min hands, been a while since I’ve done any hands. It’s always a fun challenge balancing structure and gesture.
Patrick Bosworth
Really nice! I think you struck a terriffic balance between structure and gesture!

These are great, especially the second pose!

40 min study pretty happy with this one more so than my studies of stans, but if you see anything wrong please comment, thanks everyone

I don't really like this drawing but i'm not sure why also the thumb feels like plastic and i'm also not sure why. If anyone knows why please tell me.
Archie chrisanthou
I was a bit unsure of the thumb on this hand and the index finger is too long i think, The shading is poor because of the pencil I used and i have solved that now. If you notice anything else wrong please tell me, thanks.
Archie chrisanthou
needed to foreshorten the index finger more and make the thumb a bit shorter as well as the pinky may be a bit short and wide , I also feel i over exagerated the form of the tendons. If you notice anything else off please do tell me.

These are my first attempts without watching stans Demos just his video on how to draw hand bones, please critique
Jesper Axelsson
Hi @Archie chrisanthou, great work! I don't have much to critique. Good gesture and structure! - I'm not sure about this, but I get a feeling that the fingers might be a little long. What caught my attention was the middle phalanx of the middle finger, in the top left drawing, which seemed to long. Or it might be that you're making the radius and ulna to small: In the top left drawing, maybe a bit wider shape for the radius In the middle drawing I think they should be a bit larger In the top right, a bit longer In the bottom right, maybe a bit longer One thing that helps me get the length of the hand correct is to relate it to the bicipital tuberosity of the radius. If the hand and the radius stand side by side, the hand reaches up to the bicipital tuberosity. To do a quick proportion check I imagine quickly folding the hand and see if my imagination tells my that it's hitting the tuberosity or not. Hope this helps :) Keep up the good work!
Archie chrisanthou
I have drawn all the hands once already prior to watching stans demos this was drawn after in coloured pencil and byro, please critique.
