First time putting pencil to paper in my life! Feel a little self-conscious about this but I already think I see improvement which is motivating. Please help me out! Should I start somewhere else? With more basic concepts? Thank you!

Just go through the gesture drawing lessons and draw 20 poses every day. You well find improvement in your work.

First time drawing in a while and having a hard time thinking through the 30s quick sketches. Not sure if it’s supposed to look more fleshed out or not. I’m trying to think of the line of action going from the head to the toe. Let me know if there’s anything you can see that I should focus on to improve. Thank you!

In 30sec poses you don't need to draw the complete gesture of the pose. Just draw main idea of the pose It well help you later when you will draw a complete figure. And you will be able focus on the most dominating part of the pose.

Round 2 of my Quicksketchs exercises! I think I can feel more of the flow of particular forms, but I still struggle with proportion and even with the readability of the pose sometimes.

What helped me to get the readability of the pose to be clearer is to focus on finding the longest axis to find what is relevant to the pose. Also, assuming you did them in order, look how good the last 5 min pose is! I've found that you usually start out quite stiff, then after getting in to the flow, you do some great work. I sometimes do 30s, 1 min, 2 min, 5 min, 2 min, 1 min, 30 s just to get that 30 s quick sketch in when in the flow.

Hi! I can see what you mean with the proportions being a bit off in the 1 min sketches (legs got a bit shortened, I have this problem as well > <) But I just want to say I love your 2 min sketches ^_^ your lines are so clear and confident!

I did some 30sec and 2min poses and would love some feedback on what i can improve on... most of the straight on poses where difficult for me... Any tips or advice is appreciated. Thanks <3

In 30sec poses try to draw the main idea of the pose. And try to focus on force, flow and rhythmic line's In 2min poses try to focus on structure... And then inject gesture in it

Hi, I did some more 30 second and 2 minute gesture drawings. I'd love to hear feedback on the feel of my gesture drawings. I feel that the flow isn't quite there yet. If anything else seems off, please let me know. Thanks

Dude, You're getting there. I would like to suggest you do 2 things. Pay more attention to the line of action, the whole flow of a pose. Some times I get this feeling that you think the torso separate from legs. Try finding first the gesture that link the head to one of the foot and then add compliment with the arms and the other leg. Another thing is to be more mindful of gravity. Right now, some of your drawings are kinda floating. For example if a model put her weight at the left foot her pelvis would tilt. the left side would go up and the right would go down. And to counter balance her shoulders would counter the tilt. The right shoulder would go up and the left would go down. Finally the right side of her torso would stretch and the left would compress. You'll understand better this concepts as you draw more and study the balance and beans lessons. So keep drawing and best regards

Hello! I tried to draw the gesture design, not the details.  Can you see it from these? And what should I be more conscious of to improve my drawing? I’m eager to hear your comments and critiques😊
