14-day challenge day 2: second attempt at gesture drawing from the Figure Drawing Course. Lots to learn!
Well done Ryan! I love those 45 second gestures, they flow really well. I dare even to say that I prefer them from the 2 minute ones! It's peobably because you had no time to think and let your hand do the work, keep up the effort and good work! :)

Nice! This is like weight lifting 💪😎 You get stronger and stronger with practice.
You'll learn a lot by mimicking other artists' figure drawings then try to draw like they did but with a new pose. Stan has a lot of example demonstrations in the course. Or you could check out this Drawing Demo by Glenn Vilppu. Timemark 21:00 is one part in the video where he shows the approach of first drawing a flow, then flesh it out with volume. I like doing it that way.
Hope this helps :)

My portrait attempt, post-demo -- 10-min sketch + 60-min drawing. Would love feedback!

Pear #1 pre-demo (wooded 2H-6B, one too many -- woops), pear #3 post-demo (woodless HB-6B -- fun). Had difficulty keeping values from bleeding into each other in the first attempt. Didn't totally solve it in the 2nd attempt after the demo but at least I knew what to look for.

2-min gesture drawings before watching the how-to. Coming back from a 30-yr break from drawing, also doing drawing basics.
