I could not make it into rough shapes and my shading is underdeveloped. I was unable to follow directions and separate each stroke. this is my first ever sketch. I hope I improve soon. :(
I think you got the right direction, the values are there and you can always try again if you are not satisfied ~~~( ദ്ദി ˙ᗜ˙ )

Second drawing seesion, this time with faces
Did the same time as fruits (1h) but only got 2 drawings this time
First one came out very small and scratchy because I was very scared to draw faces (and I think it shows)
Second went smoother and I got to try the tips from @dukal and @Melanie Scearce that helped to leave the tones more uniform (THANKYOU)
taking a break and gonna draw some more faces after (prob will put in the Reply)

First go on the pear, not feeling great about it, especially given how long it took, but going to try again a bit later. Still, actually doing something instead of just thinking about doing it is progress.
I think you could try one more shade of dark inside the pear? Cuz it looks like your darkest its only outside
(Im not entirely sure what Im talking about)
But its so great that you wanna keep trying ᕙ( •̀ ᗜ •́ )ᕗ

The pear project. First one was trying to see in terms of the planes, but decided that it was making things more complicated than it needed to be. So I did the three examples more in line with the demo. I decided to use different tones of pencils to help make the value shifts more noticeable. I usually just render with one grade of pencil.
Nice job, I can definetly see the evolution per drawing! ദ്ദി(˵ •̀ ᴗ - ˵ ) ✧
Thanks to your notes I have a new idea how to use my pencils for shade order, thankyou

Did one hour session with fruits ref
Had a relly hard time with the gradiation, I cant make a clear grad, I dont know if its my pressure or darkness of my pencils
Pencils: hb - 2b - 4b - 6b
Any tips for a better grad scale ( ╹ -╹)?

This skips ahead quite a bit in this series but would be worth a watch: https://www.proko.com/course-lesson/warmup-clean-shading/assignments. Some good nuggets of information to mine. Pencil control is mostly muscle memory. Regarding your values, I think your scales look great. Practicing clean shading will elevate them even more.
I think it has to do with the pressure you are putting on the pencil or if you squiz your pencil to tight in your hand. Maybe pratice your hand before starting your drawing for a more relaxed hand.

Always thought that if my dark grade pencils had long points I could only use them for shading cuz they always get stubby
but knowing i can sharpen them on sandpaper is a life saver
