And lvl2. This one wasn’t easy but I’m still proud of some of them (not the prairie dog it’s certified nightmare fuel, don’t look at them for too long they’re freaks). I think for the first two I was a bit too focused on the shape of the head, I tried to make it more global in the other ones. It was interesting to see how much personality different shapes can give.
Critiques welcome.

I went in scared that it was going to be a hard one but actually it was quite fun.
You can see some experimentations on the left side and on the right, the design I went with. I’m pretty happy with how some turned out :D
I’ll post my references below.
Critiques are welcome.
(Shall post lvl2 in a minute)

Here are my attempts at master studies, not really satisfied with some of them but also kinda proud with how some turned out.
Finding artists to study was actually quite difficult. As well as finding subjects that aren’t humans (a bit too challenging to be able to focus on just the lines) or textiles.
The artists I’ve studied are Frank Frazetta, Kim Jung Gi, Hal Foster, Kyoung Hwan Kim, Peter Han, René Gruau and Claire Wendling. (References below)
Any feedback is welcome.

This assignment was quite fun, I’m pretty happy with how it turned out even tho the transitions between the different line weights could have been a bit smoother i think.
Any critique is welcome.

Hardest project yet, I’m not really happy with the penguin and i feel like I wasn’t loose enough, giving up on trying to get the perfect line every time isn’t easy.
Any critiques are welcome.

You did a great job with this assignment. I see what you mean with the penguin. I made some notes here, the thing that jumps out to me the most is the proportion of the head to the body, it's a bit big. Don't be afraid to use searching lines to help you find those proportions! Start light and when you find the right shape, then darken the stroke. Hope this helps :)

Heya, quite the challenge but I’m pretty happy with the results, i even did lvl 2. Definitely forced me to get out of my comfort zone.
Any critique is welcome.

I tried the harder project, and I’m surprised of how well it turned out. The proportion are a little off and i feel like the lines composing my shadows could be a bit closer to each other.
Feedback appreciated. :D

Hi everyone, here are my pears, first two from my garden and the 3 and 4 are two takes on the proko one. While I’m not really happy with the first two tries but i feel like the other twos aren’t bad. I made everything with an HB mechanical pencil so i feel like all the values could have been slightly darker. (+ a bonus egg with soft shadows, that I’m happy with).
