This is my first time trying the bean technique. I feel like my lies are too sketchy and I still don't know how to capture well the movement. Any critique will be hightly appreciated ❤️

This looks cool! IMO I think you should draw with the videos, in that way you could see how to find the movement and the way to think. Also write down what you get from the video and re-watch it occasionally. That's how I worked with the video, and it helped me.
Hope this helps :)
Greetings from Mexico!
I draw with the video. The more I practice I notice that there are more things to learn.
I had this same exact insight the other day, noticing that there's so much nuance in the way that Stan draws these gestures!
Drawing with Stan, I followed the video. When I was drawing, I tried to understand what he was doing.

Hi everyone!
I want to share my figure drawing session. This time I try 30-second poses. Some drawings are 1 min poses. I gonna continue practicing.
See ya!

Hi @Alex, really nice gesture drawings!
- I don't know what the reference looked like, but I think there is room to push the gesture, especially in the torso. When it's bent in any direction I have a feeling you could go slightly further.
- It would be nice to see some more use of s-curves. I often find myself drawing the arms with an s-curve starting at the shoulders, for example.
- Practice 2 minute poses as well since they might challenge your understanding of gesture; "how do I add more details while maintaining the gesture?".
- It's great that you're following along with Stan's examples. When I took the course I liked to go through them in this pattern:
1. Draw the pose myself before looking at Stan's example.
2. Follow along with Stan and copy his way of drawing.
3 Try to draw like Stan did, without looking at his example.
I did this over and over, varying up with other poses I found on the internet, trying to bring with me the habits I learned from Stan. I remember it as being an efficient way of practicing :).
- Mike Mattesi's 3 part force drawings series might be an interesting complement to Stan's demonstrations.

Hope this helps :) Keep up the good work!

I did my figure drawing session, 1 minute for each pose. I gonna keep practicing.
Hi Alex! great control of the line. IMO, you should apply some deliberate practice methods aiming at how the head connects with the torse (the flow that abstractly represents the neck) (https://www.proko.com/course-lesson/deliberate-practice-the-secret-to-getting-good-fast/discussions)

A while ago, I started this course and I didn´t share my progress. So now I will start over and finish this course. If you are looking for a college then message me. We can work together to become a better artists. I've been practicing 1 hour of gesture drawing, every day for the last 2 months. Here is 1 hour of gesture drawings, 1 minute for each pose. Also, I'll appreciate any critique.

Hi Guys! :)
I started this course yesterday and I did the first assignment which is to draw gesture. I would be glad if you could give feedback based on my work, but thinking about the gesture. What can I improve?
Hi! Overall I think you are able to find the gesture very well. The arms on no. 2 and the legs on No. 4, I find a bit hard to understand, but gestures 1,3,5,6,7 all look great! I really like them, they are all well done. My favorite is number 7, the curves of that gesture has such a beautiful rhythmic flow to it!
Number 7 and 8 have similar poses, but If you compare the thighs in the two drawings, I think that the way you have curved the lines on no. 7 shows the gesture much better than the more rounded shape of thigh on no. 8 that seems to follows the contour of the body instead of the gesture.
I’m not sure if I was able to explain what I meant very well but hopefully it might be helpful. :)
I hope you will have fun on the course! You are up to a very good start!
