bucket study from imagination

Hi @Ari, nice studies. It's great that you're practicing drawing the forms from imagination as well!
- Some of the ellipses are a bit pointy, or at the wrong angle and openness. An ellipse shouldn't have any cornes and the end of the bucket that's furthest from us should have the most open ellipse.
Are you familiar with how to draw cylinders? Knowing how to draw a cylinder will really help when drawing the bucket👍
Draw a page with cylinders from different angles, from imagination. Then tag me if you want me to take a look. I attached an image with some tips.
I strongly recommend taking the Drawing Basics course, I think you'll benefit a lot from it. And I think you'll enjoy it a lot :)
Hope this helps :) Let me know if you have any questions!

At first I traced the models differently but, after watching some corrections that where made to other people, i re-did them

I tried my best to guess where it muscle was while looking at a reference, I don't thing it ended up really accurate to be honest

I tried to practice the side view but I don't kinda get the proportions, any tip?
Look at @stanpenko YouTube video on drawing a head. He gives the overview and then the measurements on the head for eyes, nose, ears and mouth. It all to me boils down to measuring and mapping.

Hi @Ari, nice studies! It's great to see that you're trying a variety of angles and doing a second attempts on some angles. I'll do my best to help you further:
- The main thing I notice is the proportion and symmetry. In the first 8 the head is a bit wide and short, and in the top right for example, the forehead is cut off a bit early.
In the front views, the heads feel a bit slanted. It might be because you lost some of the symmetry between the sides of the face. Note in the bottom middle one for example, how the right angle of jaw, is lower than the left.
Proportion and symmetry is something you'll always be working on, and you'll improve with practice😎👍
- I scrolled through the rest of your albums and checked out the links you have in your bio, to see if I could give some more general art journey guidance.
I think the thing that would help you the most right now would be to focus your practice time on arming yourself with strong fundamentals. I would highly recommend joining the Drawing Basics course. Since it's still in the making, I think there's a chance that you'll get feedback from Stan himself if you keep up with the assignments.
Another one would be the Figure Drawing Fundamentals course. The skills that I see would help you the most are gesture and structure.
Hope this helps :) Let me know if you have any questions!

Here are my studies of today.
Adding structure and landmarks ain't that easy.
Critique would be appreciated.
They look really cool. I don't know what to tell you to improve! (one question, where do you get the references from?)

This is my first time trying the bean technique. I feel like my lies are too sketchy and I still don't know how to capture well the movement. Any critique will be hightly appreciated ❤️
This looks cool! IMO I think you should draw with the videos, in that way you could see how to find the movement and the way to think. Also write down what you get from the video and re-watch it occasionally. That's how I worked with the video, and it helped me.
Hope this helps :)

I've started doing some 30 seconds poses. I feel like I still fixate too much on the contourn so I'll practice on that. 'm using lineofaction for the references but if anyone knows other site I would love to hear about it. Any critique is really appreciated ❤️
Hi Ari. Are you starting with the head? If that is the case, you should try starting with the torso, then the legs, and even adding some tone to suggest the contact of the foot with the floor to favor thinking of balance.
