Drawing in Wild.
Hi drafts people. I thought it would be fun to start a thread on sketching in public, to share results, challenges and experiences. I've been going to the mall on the weekend which is a great place to observe humanity and such a range of wonderful faces. One challenge of course is being low key, and not making people uncomfortable. People seem to have a sixth sense for when someone's eyes are on them. So best to work quickly and allow for unfinished sketches. Here's a few pages from yesterday's adventure.

These were fun. Just good drawing effort. Just did these at 10 min for each, but didn’t hold myself to it religously so they’re more like 10-12. Last one was by far the most frustrating. Had to start over like 3 min in. Pretty happy with the rest. Good luck everyone

Wow you captured alot in 10 min! Your searching squiggly line style is working to find the form.
@mcbrando
2 minute gestures and two 30-40 minute drawings.

Hahaha. You're not alone. I like that they look hand painted despite being digital.

Well this turned out kinda tortured. Alcohol markers on mineral paper, which is fun to work on because you can lift the markers with alcohol and swabs.

These are excellent. What medium did you use?

Hey, everyone, here is my first ever post on Proko.com, I’m Polyvios Christoforos, I’m in bed, how are you doing? Say, here are my first attempts at drawing faces: Five 31 second faces, and five 32-second faces. Though they seem my scribbliest like when we were toddlers. I wasn’t trying to make the drawings beautiful, but trying to go for the gesture. Do you like it, Stan?👍👍👍

I think this is a conceptual piece right? Brilliant 😂

Ended up spending triple the suggested time on the final sketch. Red and white Conte and some tombow marker on toned paper. Value range is limited in a traditional red chalk sketch but it came out all right.

The toned one is awesome!

All 5 minute poses. Need to do this often. Fun and great practice.
