Here are my attempts at LVL 2 , next time I'll try to go slower because my uncertainty made me redraw lines severall times instead of taking more time and having a cleaner result.

Fell into the same trap again, kept zooming too much to really refine my lineart, only to realise that it was barely visible once the project was finished and colored :)

Here is my assignement, I decided to take one of my earlier drawing and reshade him in a more" realistic " way.
I'm more confortable working with a "cel-shaded" style, so it's always a bit daunting to put the firsts smooth brushstrokes.
Butanyway, it was a fun assignement !

Level 2 portrait. I separated proportion, plane / perspective and value study. For the main portrait I focused on separating the values instead of simplifying it to the max.

Two of my last drawings : these days I'm exporing lineweight because I always struggle to decide if I want my art to have heavy or fine lines.
This time, I did heavier lines to suggest occlusion shadows and light direction.
Overall it seems I made a better job on the first image,I think I lost focus on the werewolf because he's a bit all over the place "lineweight wise".

Well, this was challenging ! Don't know how much time it took me, but I'm pretty happy about the results.
I think I pushed the contrast a bit far on the second one tough.
I have a problem with perfectionnism, so I tried not to overpaint/ take too much time on those without sacrificing too much rendering.

Really took my time with those. I really liked the painterly approach mentioned in the first demo!

Hello ! This time I took my time and did every example ( First and Third pics were my firsts attempts , did them a WHILE ago ( 2 years actually ) the rest was done this month )
I would appreciate any feedback, I really pushed myself this time and would like to know if I can improve more.
Ps : My Drawing tablet and my screen have different contrast, never know wich to trust so feel free to tell me if it lacks contrast :)

These are incredible @James Paris! Your hard work is definitely paying off.
This critique I have is very minor because you have everything you need here for successful pieces, but hopefully it can help you moving forward. Your pieces are dark, but you can use that low-key value range to create a dramatic effect if you add contrasting higher values in strategic areas.
Be mindful of what you want to the viewer to look at in your work and design accordingly :)

This is my assignement after 1h40 minutes , I'm okay with the result, It's still pretty rough but I wanted to see what would be the result without spending to much time on it. However, I think I'm gonna refine it later
