Realized I could have simplified the camel more after seeing the demo. Overall I think I did all right, definitely some teething issues with using my whole arm on the tablet for my strokes.

Hey there! I noticed a great improvement from the first version, so good job :) I think you can further this by simplifying the edges in the pear, combining all the small, complex shapes/edges into larger groups. I think you already have a good example of this with the white highlight shapes, so continuing this level of simplification into the area of shadow can really balance your shape design. Another thing to watch out for in the future would be the progression of your values, keeping their differences evenly spaced. There is a bit of a tendency to get darker earlier, so watch out that the 2nd lightest value is light enough to be right in between the lightest and middle value. Hope this helps!

Hey, @Jae Hoon Jho!
This is a beautiful pear. The proportions are great, and you clearly understand where the lights and darks are throughout the image.
While this a really great drawing, the assignment was to *simplify* both the shapes and values of the drawing using straight lines and five values (two for the shadows and three for the lights).
You clearly have a talent for drawing, so I would love to see you attempt this pear again by simplifying!
Hi @Jae Hoon Jho - i think this is a great drawing, but i would go back and listen to the task again. It's about simplifying form. So where you've got your nice gradations between tones, Proko was asking us to keep the edges sharp.
I would also try to keep more of a difference between the light tones and shadow tones.
Maybe the fact that you're able to do a good drawing of the pear means that you should try the level 2 simplification exercise (the portrait)?
Happy drawing :-)
