I wanted to do a cartoony bumble bee, so I chose 1 reference that was highly stylized to keep me in that mindset. The bucket of honey that one is enthusiastically carrying is what inspired me to draw the bee as if it maybe imbibed a bit too much of its own product, hehe.

Switched to paper for this assignment and likely further ones. I do most of my sketch to finished drawing on tablet and tend to practice more in my sketchbook, but since this has a heavy focus on line quality as well as sketching paper makes more sense.

Realized I could have simplified the camel more after seeing the demo. Overall I think I did all right, definitely some teething issues with using my whole arm on the tablet for my strokes.

First image was my attempt pre-demo, realizing I maybe made it too complex, after watching the demo, I made another attempt with a different provided picture and think I got closer to the expected result.
